2010 Assessment:

Stalk Destruction Rebate: $5/acre if destroyed by
May 15. To be eligible:
- 100 percent of cotton plants must be destroyed and none become hostable for boll weevil (as determined by TBWEF) prior to December 31, 2009;
- the grower must not be delinquent on any TBWEF assessments; and,
- the grower has provided season-long vehicular access to all fields in 2009.
If all conditions are met, rebate will be paid in early 2011. The rebate will be credited on each eligible field.
Status: Active eradication. Last referendum passed by 91 percent in November 2008.
